Sleek & Stylish Composters
|
|
For the month of February, we’re partnering with Ucan to give away two modern composting bins. Not only are they stylish, they make composting easy. The bins are designed for durability and have a convenient hidden handle. There’s also a special ventalition system to cut down on odors. Two randomly selected winners will receive a Ucan Untrash can and a box of compostable garbage bags – each worth a total of $35. Look below for all the ways to enter to win. Entries will be received through February 29, 2012.

Composting is a great idea to be green as is collecting rain water, that way you can have supplements for your soil and you don’t have to use city water as much! Happy gardening!
We also collect rain water in a rain barrel, as well as keep buckets in the showers to collect water as it is heating up.
This looks like a great kitchen compost bin because the top appears to flip up. My current bin is more like a bucket and I have to take the top completely off. This is a challenge in my small kitchen since I never have enough counter space to place the top when I’m using the bin…which is often! Also looks like you can put a bag liner in them! I currently use the “Biobag” which is made of corn starch and go right in the compost pile! I get them from drugstore.com.
We just started composting last year, I would LOVE one of these!
These are cool! Thanks for offering a great giveaway.
Go green – so many things – use reusable bags, turn off the water when you brush, save the cold water when waiting on the shower to water plants, get a rain barrel (Union County is having a sale right now), REFUSE – don’t bring it home to begin with, compost, use up all your leftovers, donate instead of throwing away, did I say REFUSE?, group errands, bring containers to the store with you so you don’t need the store’s, turn the temperature down, recycle of course
I “go green” by trying to avoid using disposable dishware and silverware whenever possible! I can do MUCH better on this front…there is always room for improvement.
My motto truly is reduce, reuse, recycle. I am currently driving my husband nuts because I have an aluminum ball the size of a basketball.!
Been sharing on facebook no box for link though…
I truly want to forever stop buying disposable anything!
Tip, use a cloth towel instead of paper towels. We hardly use any paper napkins, or paper towels
